Why Latvia is so great for business

So far I have used Latvian language for my blog posts. Still, this time I want, that anyone, who understands English, may be capable to read this. Why? Because I care as much as many of us - Latvians - do.

Yesterday I had a meeting with one businessman from Western Europe who owns company here in Latvia for about 3 years. We - Latvians - we know, that Latvia isn't gangster-land, we are conscious about our intellectual and geographical advantages. Sadly, not all Europe is certain about that. "Do you have business in Latvia? Isn't it dangerous? Isn't it a gangster's land?" It probably sounds funny for us, but actually it's not funny at all if we hear, that such questions appear from potential Western investors.

So what can we do to make it better? Inform any foreigner you meet about Latvia, about our advantages and opportunities here. Be proud, that you are Latvian and let anyone understand the reason of your proudness. Why? Because it's true. Soviet times brought our advancement back for tens of years. We can't fix past, but we can look forward in future and spread out the truth about Latvia. Let's do it regularly and I believe that in close future we all will see the result of our action!
